Dr. A.S. Jambhale
Managing Director
Dr. A.S. Jambhale a visionary leader had over 50 years of experience in engineering,
manufacturing, design, operations, and technology. Holding a PhD in Electronics and
Telecommunication, he has dedicated his
career to advancing technical education, indigenous manufacturing, and affordable industrial
innovation in India. From a village background, he became the first engineer from his
village, shaping his mission to make technical education and advanced engineering accessible
to underserved communities. He is also a founding member of several technical institutes
across Maharashtra, enabling generations of rural and semi-urban students to pursue
technical excellence.
In 2016, inspired by the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, he founded Zonap Engineering to build
high-efficiency, world-class, cost-effective machinery for small and mid-scale industries.
He addressed gaps in deep hole drilling and precision engineering through indigenous design
and practical problem-solving. Today, Zonap serves Defence, Oil & Gas, and Heavy Engineering
sectors with deep hole drilling, machine design, and precision components. His “People
First” leadership blends technical excellence with mentorship and ethics, and he envisions
Zonap as a global leader in precision manufacturing with India at its core.
Prasad Jambhale is a technically driven leader with over 20 years of experience across
deep-hole drilling, precision manufacturing, machine design, and industrial operations. He
holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from
BITS Pilani, with a strong foundation in applied mechanics, manufacturing processes, and
machine tool engineering. After a decade in industry, he co-founded Zonap in 2016 to build
on Dr. A.S. Jambhale’s vision addresses the lack of indigenous, cost-effective deep-hole
drilling technology in India, where solutions like gun drilling, BTA drilling, trepanning,
and precision boring were largely imported or costly.
At Zonap, he leads strategy, innovation, and execution, with hands-on involvement in machine
development, process optimization for high L/D ratio holes, straightness and surface finish,
assembly, commissioning, vendor development, and quality systems. He has helped scale Zonap
for defence, oil & gas, energy, and heavy engineering sectors where precision and
reliability matter. Known for his technical yet people-centric approach, he focuses on
simplifying manufacturing, reducing cost, and improving productivity, and shares the vision
of positioning Zonap as a global leader with India at its core.

ProductionMr. Suraj is a specialist in multispindle machines and plays a vital role in production, machine assembly, and precision component manufacturing at Zonap. He brings deep hands-on expertise in operating and optimizing multispindle systems, enabling high productivity and consistent quality. His process discipline and coordination with design teams ensure smooth translation of drawings into accurate, manufacturable outputs. Dr. Vandana Pusalkar
Machine DesignDr. Vandana Pusalkar is the design expert at Zonap and holds a PhD in Architecture, bringing her academic depth to engineering application. She leads machine design with strong capability in layout planning, visualization, and structural review. Her architectural and structural insight helps create machines that are not only technically sound but also well-balanced, safe, and efficient. By combining design thinking with industrial engineering needs, she improves design precision, usability, and reliability—significantly strengthening Zonap’s overall engineering and machine development capability.

Zonap Engineering was founded with a vision to provide specialized drilling solutions to the local market.
